Mother Blessing Ceremony

A Mother Blessing Ceremony today is a sacred gathering with origins inspired by the profound embodied wisdom of the Navajo blessingway tradition, a ceremony which marks the sacred rite of passage from maiden to mother with the reverance and love it deserves.

In these times more then ever, we need to treasure and mark this sacred initiation into Motherhood, in a way where you feel held and supported by your closest loved ones, those who stand beside you as energetic and physical pillars of support before you welcome your baby into the world.

Let’s lovingly co-create this day for you, weaving in your traditions, your loves and ancestral lineages to honour your unique journey and transition into motherhood.

the Mother Blessing Ceremony includes::

  • A personal preparation conversation before the ceremony

  • Bespoke ceremony planning around your intentions

  • A 3-hour guided Mother Blessing ceremony

  • Altar Creation for the ceremony space

  • Time to honour, celebrate and nourish the mother-to-be:: Flower Shower Blessings

  • Adorning the Mother with a Belly mandala made of fresh flowers or non toxic paint

  • 2 x Honouring the Mother Rituals (Red Thread & Birthing Candle Ritual)

  • Sacred Crafting Activity: Birth & Postpartum Affirmation Card Making

  • Sharing and connection within your chosen circle

  • Ceremonial materials and altar elements

  • Set-up and clearing of the ceremonial space

The ceremony itself lasts approximately 3 hours, with additional time dedicated

to preparing and creating the space before your arrival and gently clearing the space afterwards.

Investment::

£450
For up to 10 guests

A £150 deposit is required to secure your chosen date, with the remaining £300 payable 1 month before the ceremony.

Larger Gatherings::

11–15 guests:: £500

For larger circles, additional time and preparation may be required to ensure that the ceremony remains intimate, spacious and beautifully held.

16+ guests:: bespoke

For larger gatherings, travel outside the local area, or ceremonies requiring additional materials or preparation, please get in touch for a bespoke quote.

Optional additions

Your Mother Blessing can also be expanded with additional ritual and creative elements, such as:

Bespoke Herbals ::

A personalised herbal blend, tea or botanical offering created especially for the mother-to-be.

Personalised Altar Creation::

A more elaborate altar created around the mother, incorporating meaningful colours, flowers, textiles, photographs, natural objects, herbs and symbolic elements.

Bespoke Creative ritual::

Your Mother Blessing can be woven with a bespoke creative ritual. This might take the form of a weaving workshop or Scultping with Clay or my intuitive painting practice The Art Ceremony.

Keepsakes for the Circle::

A small handmade botanical or creative gift for each woman to take home as a reminder of the gathering.

For a completely bespoke experience, adding additional/ switching out elements, I am happy to create a package around your wishes ( To be quoted on request)
