A seasonal intuitive painting ritual exploring the art of letting go, trusting the unknown and discovering new creative terrain through the heart, mind and body.
As the Wheel of the Year turns towards Samhain, we arrive at a threshold :: a time to honour the ending of one cycle and the quiet beginning of another.
Samhain invites us to pause at this place between what has been and what is yet to come. To honour what we have gathered, acknowledge what is ready to fall away, making space for the unknown.
For this special edition of The Art Ceremony, we will explore these themes through an intuitive painting ritual.
A practice in letting go. Letting go of the need to know what the painting will become.
Letting go of expectation and perfection. Letting the hand move before the mind knows where it is going.
Through painting, we will explore new terrains with the heart, mind and body, following colour, movement, sensation and intuition into places that may feel unfamiliar.
Rather than creating something from a plan, we will allow the artwork to reveal itself through the process.
Together, we will mark this turning of the Wheel of the Year through creativity, reflection and ritual :: honouring what is ending, making space for what is emerging and allowing ourselves to cross the threshold with curiosity. How freeing!
Your finished canvas becomes something to take home with you :: a tangible marker of this turning of the Wheel, and a visual record of the terrain you travelled through.
I am looking forward to this seasonal gathering to celebrate creativity, making space for the inner stirrings of the heart and deep creative nourishment.
What to expect:: An intuitive seasonal painting ritual :: A grounding orientation to drop into your intuitive space :: Experimental art-making :: Warm chai and deep creative nourishment
